Our story began at Temple University in 2016. I (Grace) joined the cross country team as a freshman, and David, a sophomore, quickly became one of my close friends. After a year of friendship and miles shared, we took the leap in the fall of 2017 and started dating.

Over the years, Temple became not only the place where we earned our degrees, but the backdrop for so many of our milestones. We moved in to our first apartment together in the fall of 2020, and soon welcomed our pride and joy, our cat Josie, into our lives.

From campus life to our first apartment in Philly, and eventually to the Main Line, we’ve built the life that our younger selves used to dream of together.

In February 2024, one week after running at the Olympic Trials, David whisked me away to Manhattan, one of my favorite places, under the pretense of celebrating the race and a friend’s birthday. With my love for Home Alone in mind, David surprised me with a stay at The Plaza. We strolled through Central Park to take in the view of the hotel—just like in the movie—and in that perfect moment, he proposed.

That night, we celebrated with friends, family, great Italian food, and many, many glasses of wine. It was a day that captured everything we love: each other, adventure, and the people who mean the most to us. We can’t wait to add our wedding day to our story and to celebrate with all of you!
